Right so Blech's playing with Raahil Rai on the 19th at Not Just Jazz by the Bay, Marine Drive.
What you need to know :
BLECH : Is new on the scene so yes few of you've heard them. i would've loved to have said "heard of" but that's definetely not true with the number of gig invites we've been putting out this month.
The weird bipolar grunge rock trio or well known for their annoying habit of playing all original gigs and have magnificently failed to disappoint. you can expect the odd wolfmother or nirvana cover to be thrown in. plus they do a rather unique version of roxanne
RAAHIL RAI :
Distinct. Random. Inconnu. Inexorable. Syncretic. Such is the sound of Raahil Rai's music.
Lead singer of the band, Zynth. It's his first gig as a solo artist covering bands like Coldplay, Oasis, John Mayer, Green Day, Bob Dylan, Green Day, The Killers, Michael Jackson, U2 and Switchfoot. Covering a wide variety of genres on keyboards, guitar and vocals with unique medleys and redone covers, you wouldn't know what to expect.

Quite a few eyebrows are raised when people hear the name of the band, (Sometimes 1, usually 2, and in the case of the 42 eyed space demons from Quazgar V, 42...)
That's because it admittedly sounds like garbled nonsense. It's also pretty close to 'Belch', which really isn't what we're going for at all.
So when Rishi mentioned the band name, I had to find out what it means-
Google asks me if I'm looking for 'bleach'.
I'm not.
Wiki has this to say-
A blech (from the German by way of Yiddish word for tin or sheet metal) is a metal sheet used by many observant Jews to cover stovetop burners (and for some, the knobs/dials too) on Shabbat (the Jewish Sabbath), as part of the precautions taken to avoid violating the halachicprohibition against cooking on the Sabbath.
In true Wiki style, I barely have an idea WTF they just said. It's metal...so that's kinda awesome...but it's used for cooking on Sundays so that they aren't breaking some code and...no, not that awesome anymore.
Screw that, not like they know anything, I'll go check Urban Dictionary-
and I get-
Uhh...not that great, lets try-blech 89 up, 25 down
B)to find something wholly offensive as to want to throw up to purge the sensation from the mind and/or body;
C) average
A little better, I'd say...here's something better.
Blecha6 thumbs up

Blech : mumbais all original grunge/alternative act, whose name still makes no sense but is fun to say, may be new but have failed to disappoint; well that's what all the people (around 10) who sprained their necks while head banging in our last gig said. fronted by the unnecessarily spontaneous Rishi Bradoo this band will keep that foot snapping till it drops, rolls over and plays dead.
Labels: Blech, Froydn Slip, Gig Alert
Starting it of with an Original composition, This is 'Orange'. Lyrics by Rishi B, and they change as he sees fit. Which sometimes means the same song holds a different message every time we play it.
